Hon. Babawale Charges Youths To Ensure Full Participation In Nigeria Politics.

The Honorable representing Osun Central Senatorial District at Nigeria Youth Parliament (NYP), Abuja, Hon. Babawale Jamiu Popoola has called on youths to desist from being used as tools in the hands of politicians to perpetrate evil.

Speaking today with Historyarena Media, he said, “I want to charge all Nigerian youths today, August 12th, 2020, International Youth Day, let us rise as one, let us look beyond the challenges and the problems, let us not be tools in the hands of politicians whose only penchant is to see how to bring the government down.'
He urged the youths to shun any form of illegal activities that may bring disrepute to the image of the country. He further charged the youth to start participating in active politics, “for the love of our country, let’s come together and infuse the energy and ingenuity of youth in the business of governance."
As the NYP Speakership Contender, he said, “our world today is quite fast-paced with ever constant changing dynamics; it requires leadership that is ahead, creative, nimble and equal to the task” in emphasising the urgency of the task at hand, he stated, “the average age of our leaders today is 60years, and even with their best efforts, there’s only so much they can offer as they are, understandably, no more as agile as they were in their prime. If you bring the government down, you have brought the nation down. Let us see how we can contribute our quota to measure development. Let us put aside ethnic differences, let us put aside political differences, let us put aside religious differences”.

Osun Bursary: NAOSS Speaker Writes Oyetola; Demands For Payment of Bursary

BURSARY IS OUR RIGHT, WE ARE READY TO EMPLOY ANY MEANS TO GET IT

It is so disheartening and appalling that Gov. Gboyega Oyetola has displayed a high level of nonchalant attitudes towards the welfarism of Osun state students populace in the running of his administration over the years. On different occasions, the National Association of Osun State State Students (NAOSS) has drawn the attention of the state governor through the office of the commissioner for education and the office of the Special Assistant to the governor on Students matters, but to our biggest surprise, all efforts are proved to be abortive.

It is wisely said that for any government to be a successful one, the education of its citizen should be prioritized, one will be lost in wonder of why Gov. Gboyega Oyetola has neglected the entire indigenous students of Osun state in the running of his administration, we were never promised this during his campaigns!

The leadership of National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS) hereby uses this medium to again call the attention of the state Governor to the issuance of Bursary to all indigenous students of Osun state otherwise faces the third C of Aluta, bursary is our right and not a privilege, enough of being taken for granted in our motherland!

It is very pertinent at this juncture to remind the state governor that the only way through which the entire students of Osun state can benefit and sing good name of his administration is if their portion of the public fund is allotted to them, even the bible preaches giving to Cesar what belongs to Cesar, the students populace are tired of keeping mum for years with fake hopes and promises, we are ready to stand solidly for nothing but our dividend rights.

Osun state indigenous Students should not be deprived of their rights. The students welfarism matters, and it should not be handled with levity.

The National Association of Osun State Students body hereby issues a seven day ultimatum to Gov. Gboyega Oyetola to do the needful or otherwise face the wrath of the students.
Osun state students are not fools and we shouldn't be taken as one.

The interest of the student we are representing is our major priority and it will surely continue to be!

In Aluta we trust!

Aluta Continua!!

Victoria Ascerta!!!

Even though in the presence of the Honourable Commissioner and his cohort, they acknowledged the fact that he was able to tackled the topic while on seat.
