Sola Sobowale, popularly known as 'Toyin Tomato' is a Nigerian film actress, screenwriter, director and producer. She had her big break in 2001, in the premiere of Nigeria's popular TV Drama Series Super Story: Oh Father, Oh Daughter. 

BIOGRAPHY
Sola Sobowale was born on December 26, 1965, in Ondo State. She was born to Joseph and Esther Olagookun. Her father was a retired principal and her mother, a former headmistress. After her primary and secondary education, she enrolled into the University of Ibadan to study Music. However, due to her passion for acting, she switched to Theatre Arts.

FAMILY
She is married to Oludotun Sobowale. Oludotun was the former corporate executive director of EKO Hospital, before relocating to England. Their union is blessed with children.

EARLY CAREER
Sola got into the industry with the help of her brother-in-law, Tunji Oyelana (For the movie Sura the tailor), who also enrolled her into the University. Oyelana doubled as a lecturer, singer and actor. Sola’s parents were against her acting at first but Oyelana was able to convince her parents to see acting as a noble profession and not a wayward lifestyle based on the relationship he has with the family. Luckily for Sola, her parents agreed, and her career as an actress began. On getting in, she started with Sura the Tailor, and subsequently, featured in Village Headmaster, Mirror in the Sun, Our Husband Have Gone Mad Again e.t.c. Later on, she joined a group led by Adebayo Salami, Awada kerikeri Group. She also featured in Asewo to re Mecca and a celluloid, Eki Okan, e.t.c Sobowale came to limelight after starring as Toyin Tomato in Oh Father! Oh Daughter!, a Wale Adenuga’s Super Story drama series. Due to the aura she brought into the series, several people still refer to her as Toyin Tomato till date.
