Before you walk down the aisle with your partner, here are 7 sincere questions you must resolve..

7) Are we raising kids? If so, how many?

It is important that you both discuss and come to an agreement on the number of kids you plan to have. It is also important that you agree on the spacing you'll give to the children. Do you plan to have 3 kids and have a spacing of 2 years between each? 

6) Are there changes we are to make to our lives?

Do not get married without properly discussing changes you both plan to make. Is any supposed to change jobs, are you planning on changing apartments? It is important that whatever changes you believe should happen during marriage should be openly discussed.

5) Is there any major secret i should know about?

Secrets in mariages are like little foxes that destroy the vineyard. Be as open as possible about your previous relationship, mistakes and matters you have kept hidden. If the partner loves you, they'll forgive you and help you move on. Remember, people might not be able to handle the truth, but they deserve to know the truth. 

4) What is your love language? 

Knowing your partner's love language will help you understand how best to deal with matters that concerns them. It is important that you know what love language best suits your partner. It will help you enjoy your home

3) What are the homes rules?

Are guests allowed? How long are guests allowed? Are family members allowed to come live with us? It is advised that home rules are set to ensure there is no misunderstanding when you eventually get married. 

2) What religion are we adopting and what religious centre are we agreeing on?

Decide if you both will manage your homes the Christian or Muslim way. If you worship in different religious centres, agree on which the family would be attending. This should be discussed before marriage.

1) How do we handle our finances?

Money can be a major issue in a marriage if not properly handled. It is important that you both discuss how the running of the home would be. Who pays the bills? Who buys foodstuffs? Who pays for repairs? It is also important that you agree on if you'll maintain a joint or single account.

NISAYA MINUTES OF THE MEETING ON PRE-CONVENTION PREPARATION ON SATURDAY, 20th AUGUST, 2022. The meeting started at exactly 07:44am with the nomination of Comr.
